happy mother's day! well, it was a few hours ago anyway lol. i wanted to take my mom to a museum but my dad wanted us all to visit my aunt in NJ. that's all well and good, but they're a loud bunch especially when they play cards together, and my mom and i don't play. so my aunt lent me her car and i drove my mom to a Marshalls to shop (i got shoes and she didn't like anything but i got her something else earlier :P) and then to a park to watch the geese and ducks in a pond. it was the first time i drove without my dad in the car, and i only got lost twice, and each time i turned right around thanks to my phone's map app. lol it's really different from driving in the city. i guess if i lived in suburbia i would have started driving on my own a long time ago. it's really difficult to go around on foot! i'm glad to be back in the city tonight.
